The Project
The Atlantis project was started in 2002 by Professor Bleimann, since then it has been continuously producing numerous dissertations and publications. This project brought about a multitude of international contacts among participants, who consist mostly of students, but also include professors, doctoral students and university staff members.
It is an international project, characterised particularly by its interdisciplinary nature. Therefore the current project team consists of a educationally and culturally diverse group of about 47 students and staff from the department of computer science, media, law and education. Together, they are working on concepts, technologies and visions in order to make Atlantis University an international, inter-university network for teaching and learning.
Status
Atlantis University is a dynamic project that is constantly developed further by its members. To this, many milestones have been achieved; such as participations in the Plymouth e-Learning Conference, and the creation of a collaborative platform (CoCoMa) designed to edit presentation slides. In addition, the Atlantis project has successfully appeared three times at CeBIT - and will show some outcomes of our sub-project »Coherence« there in 2011 also.
